So… I’ve updated the blog and changed the format a bit, this is no new news if you’ve been reading facebook, yahoo or the blog. Mosey on in this mufucka and I’ll break it down for you. Y’all know this cowboy is a tall drink of water my friends!
So for those of you that don’t know, I got laid off two weeks ago today. Don’t AWWW me… it was the best thing that could have happened to me other than winning the lotto or a few other things I wont mention. Anyway, my last job wasn’t a great fit for me, I felt unchallenged and under utilized… So for now I’ll look for the right fit, if I dont find it I’ll be begging you all for freelance projects. Actually while you are at it, check out what I used to do to get paid for a living over the last 11 years: My Portfolio. Still need to update some of the examples and my resume, but you get the point.
I digress…
With that said, I have nothing but time (and this cool cowboy hat) to work on blogs, try to get back in shape and find out how strong my will is with beer in the fridge and nothing to do… so far so good.
So you probably noticed right away that this post is different with the big ass (cool I might add) image of me sitting on the shitter with a cowboy hat on and no shirt… ladies, fight that urge, I’m a happily engaged man. Mikey, dont forget your sexy man is desired by droves of women all over the world. I digress again…
Now when you come to the blog, you may see a few different things instead of the image and lead in description as I previously had. Now the post could just be a video posted, an image posted, audio maybe, or it could be the small image with lead in copy.
Instead of friday random links and images, I’m just going to post shit as I come across it… this will be easier for me and you guys can share the links with other people. The way I had it before there were several videos on a page and if you linked someone you’d have to tell them what video… now you wont unless there are a set of videos, then i’ll stick those together. Same for images.
My stories and random thoughts will still be handled the way they always have been… and I’ll be contributing more of these to the blog more often.
Now, you may have noticed that the right column has changed a bit. I created a sort of navigation for you guys to find the category of posts you want to view. Notice the first item is “Find Posts By Category Breakdown”. This will allow you to sort the funny videos and images from the stories and random shit I write. Or if you want to see how I’m ever failing on my quest to get back in shape, those are separated out… I’ll be posting back to this soon. I think you get the idea.
You can always use the search bar at the top right of the site to search for key words, so if you’re looking for a video you saw and cant find.. try typing something you remember about the video… keep it more broad. For example, if you see a video of a dog humping a ladies leg, just search for “dog” or “humping”.
The third way to browse the site is the Timulator Tag Cloud at the bottom of the right column. Key words that represent a post are pulled into the tag cloud, the larger the word means the more posts there are that relate to that word. If nothing else it’s good for finding new posts that you might think are interesting.
If I think of anything else I’ll update this post… Please let your friends, family, coworkers or whoever know about my blog! Alright, I think I’m going to go sit poolside slowly waving my hand in the cool water while I drink a frosty beverage, have a great day at work kids!
